DeWitt Excavating, Inc. has been in business for 50 years. Terry & Janet DeWitt started out in March of 1974 with one backhoe and one dump truck operating out of their home on Main Street. In November 1989, they moved to their current location, 7395 US Highway 50 in Lamar, Colorado. Dustin started working full time in the Summer of 1991 after graduation. Staci started working full time in the Spring of 1993. DeWitt Excavating incorporated in 1998. Today DeWitt Excavating, Inc. has 18 employees. Dustin DeWitt is the current President, Terry DeWitt, Vice President; Staci DeWitt, Secretary; and Janet DeWitt, Treasurer of the Corporation.
